How it works for households
Post your bags
Tell us roughly how many containers you have and where to collect them. Clean cans and bottles in any sturdy bag.
We match a nearby collector
A verified local collector claims your job, gets your instructions, and heads to your door—no bin diving. Collectors are verified with ID and phone number before they can accept pickups.
Pickup and payout
Your collector takes the bags to an approved refund point. You never have to open your door—leave bags at the agreed spot for contactless pickup. You choose to keep the refund, split it, or donate it.
What it costs
To keep RecycleForGood running and free for collectors, households pay a flat $7 annual fee per address. One payment for a year of on‑demand pickups and real income for local collectors.
Safety for households
We guide you with simple safety tips when you book, like where to place bags and when to bring bins back inside after pickup.
Verified collectors only
- Only approved collectors can claim your pickup; each has a profile and history in the app.
- ID + phone verification before collectors can accept jobs.
- See who's coming before pickup (name + rating + past completions).
Contactless by default
- Agree a pickup window and leave bags outside—no need for direct contact.
- Place bags in a visible, well‑lit spot near your door or bin area.
- No sharp / hazardous items ; if in doubt, leave it out.
- One‑tap cancel / report if anything feels off.
Earn as a collector
Turn spare time and walking routes into extra income by collecting containers from households nearby.
- Free to join—no experience or vehicle required.
- See what each pickup pays before you claim it.
- Short, local routes you can do on foot, bike or public transport.
Why it matters
Most 10c containers never reach depots because people are busy and small refunds don't feel worth the trip. We make it a 3‑minute decision instead of a 30‑minute chore.
Your $7 yearly contribution keeps the platform live and lets collectors keep 100% of the 10c refunds from your containers.
By matching households with local collectors, refunds stay in the community as income, not unclaimed deposits.
